Portfolio: Annotated Wireframes for Web Site Redesign

Project Description

I proposed a redesign to The eLearning Guild Web site to better meet the needs of users for my Bentley University class on Information Architecture. This final project for the class consisted of an Executive Summary, content audit, and annotated wireframes for four key pages in the site.

Because this was a class project, I did not work directly with The eLearning Guild; instead, I made assumptions on their four main goals and used these goals to inform the redesign:

  1. Align site design with the primary business goal of the organization: attracting new members (moving users from unaware/undirected to aware/directed).
  2. Provide useful, meaningful, and not-to-be-missed content to current members to drive annual membership renewals and membership upgrades (moving users from aware/undirected to aware/directed).
  3. Prompt current members to fully complete their profiles and answer surveys to inform industry research produced by the organization (moving users from aware/undirected to aware/directed).
  4. Become the go-to site for industry research to drive purchases of research papers and reports (moving users from aware/undirected to aware/directed).

Goal

To propose a Web site redesign that meets the needs of three key audiences based on the assumed business goals above.

Out of scope for this redesign project were the following sections of the site: Publications, Research Library, Conferences, and Job Board.
